Overview

Compassionate Neighbours Mission Children’s Home (CONEMI) is a Christian children’s home located in Githurai 44, Nairobi, Kenya. Founded in 1978 by Bishop Josiah Okoth Mwima, a former convict who found redemption and purpose in serving others, the home was established to provide care for children who are abandoned, orphaned (including those orphaned due to HIV/AIDS), or from extremely destitute families. The home offers a safe and nurturing environment where these children receive love, shelter, food, clothing, education, and spiritual guidance. Bishop Josiah’s vision was to restore hope and dignity to these children, helping them become future leaders despite their challenging circumstances.
