Overview

Family Hope Kenya is a community and faith-based learning center dedicated to supporting orphans, children from underprivileged families, and those facing significant social and economic challenges. Established on January 5, 2015, the organization was founded by a group of compassionate individuals who, despite limited resources, took personal savings and sold household items to initiate the center’s operations. They conducted surveys to identify families in need, visited them, and provided assistance such as school supplies and guidance to help children attend school. The center offers education through volunteer teachers and implements a unique “walking bus” program, where teachers escort children across high-traffic roads to and from the center. Additionally, one of the founders serves as a counselor for individuals affected by illnesses like cancer and HIV, playing a pivotal role in the lives of the children and their families. The center collaborates with a local children’s hospital to access medical support and operates a small bakery that provides bread for the children and generates income to support the center’s needs.
