Which grants can Kenyan NGOs still apply for in November 2026? As of 29 October 2026, three funding windows matter most: the TEEEM Foundation Community Impact Grants (up to US$30,000, window closes 1 November), the Global EbA Fund medium-size grants (up to US$500,000, closes 16 November), and a rolling stream of early-stage social enterprise funding from the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation (up to US$300,000). The Global EbA small-size call and the EU-funded Haki Ni Yetu grants in Kenya have already closed, so do not plan around them.
This is a short, checked list rather than a dump of every call on the internet. Each item below was verified against a donor or fund page or a reputable listing this week, and we flag where eligibility for Kenyan organisations still needs your own confirmation.

What is the TEEEM Foundation Community Impact Grant?
TEEEM, The Empathy, Equality, Entrepreneurship Mission Foundation, runs a three-tier programme: Community Grants of US$5,000 to US$10,000, Growth Grants of US$10,000 to US$20,000, and Transformational Grants of US$20,000 to US$30,000. Listings of the call describe it as open to nonprofit and charitable organisations worldwide, with an application window of 17 August to 1 November 2026.
It funds education and youth development, health and essential needs, equality and empowerment, entrepreneurship and economic opportunity, and community infrastructure. Successful grantees must file a mid-year progress report, a final impact report and financial updates. With three days left, this is only realistic for organisations that already have a costed project and audited or reviewable accounts ready.
Can Kenyan NGOs apply to the Global EbA Fund?
Very likely yes, but read the call text. The Fund is co-led by IUCN and UNEP and financed through Germany’s International Climate Initiative. In its 24 August 2026 announcement, IUCN said the medium-size call (up to US$500,000 per grant, up to 24 months) runs from 12 October to 16 November 2026 and is open to national and international NGOs, community-based organisations, Indigenous Peoples’ organisations, universities, research institutions and private sector organisations. The companion small-size call (up to US$250,000) was limited to ODA-eligible countries and closed on 26 October. Kenya is on the OECD’s list of ODA-eligible countries, but confirm the medium call’s country rules directly.
The medium call encourages three themes: innovative finance for ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA), EbA for human development and security in fragile or conflict-affected settings, and stronger links between climate, biodiversity and land agendas. Proposals that tackle barriers to scaling, such as weak data, thin institutional capacity or projects that are not yet investment-ready, fit the Fund’s stated purpose better than a standard planting or restoration project.
What happened to the Haki Ni Yetu grants?
If you have been waiting for another round, stop. The KIOS Foundation, which ran the EU-funded Haki Ni Yetu project, states on its website that no more open calls are planned for the project period ending in 2026. Across five calls it received more than 1,200 applications and awarded 66 grants, including 22 Rights, Governance and Accountability Grants of EUR 15,000 to EUR 60,000 each. Over 90% of the money went to women-led, youth-led and marginalised-group-led groups. Future KIOS calls will be posted on its Apply for Funding page.
How do you choose which grant to chase?
Three questions cut the list quickly.
- Can you be ready in time? A two-week window rewards organisations with a concept note, budget and registration documents already in a shared folder.
- Is your legal status current? Donors routinely ask for registration certificates, tax compliance and recent accounts. Our guide to PBO audited accounts and UDIN requirements explains what to have on file.
- Does the call match your track record? Funders read for evidence. A narrow, well-evidenced proposal beats a broad one.
If you need to draft quickly, our concept note guide for Kenyan NGOs sets out the structure most donors expect. Smaller community organisations should also look at the GFCF community philanthropy grants and the IKI medium grants we covered earlier.
Frequently asked questions
Which grants for Kenyan NGOs close in November 2026?
The TEEEM Foundation window closes on 1 November, the CEGA impact evaluation call on 15 November and the Global EbA Fund medium-size call on 16 November.
Is the Global EbA Fund open to community-based organisations?
Yes. IUCN says both Global EbA calls are open to NGOs, community-based organisations, Indigenous Peoples’ organisations, universities, research institutions and private sector bodies.
How much can an NGO get from the Global EbA medium-size call?
Up to US$500,000 per grant for projects lasting up to 24 months.
Are there any grants without a deadline?
Some funders review applications on a rolling basis, such as the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, which backs early-stage social enterprises with up to US$300,000. Rolling does not mean unlimited, so apply early.
Should I trust grant listing sites?
Use them to discover calls, then apply only through the donor’s own page and confirm the deadline and eligibility there.
